And so it begins.

Hello new blog! I hope I can make you more encouraging (or at least less dismal) than the old one. Here's the explanation: I started a blog about a year and a half ago, but then it became a sounding board for my depression and frustration at the way life was turning out. From last July until just recently, I didn't write in it at all. But a couple nights ago I was working on a paper and was inspired by the story of Elijah that I was writing about, so I wrote this post. Then I realised, "You know, that post doesn't really belong with that blog. It clashes with the overtone." But I like the idea.
So, voila!
I made this blog. For optimism. For encouragement. For divine inspiration. Basically, I want it to be a place for me to think out loud about passages that I study or devotions that I do or verses that I pull out of my Spiritual Vitamin jar. Essentially, it should be a sort of devotional in and of itself. Written by me (with God's inspiration and scripture) for me and for any readers that may stumble upon it.
The name I chose is based on Isaiah 40:30-31 "Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
I'm hoping that the experience of writing things here will be a source of strength for me, and remind me to keep my eyes on God. To anyone reading this: I hope you enjoy it and it helps to renew your strength as well.
God's Blessings!
